The refurbishment of our Gig Shed was a massive undertaking for a small Community.
As well as promoting the sport of Gig Rowing, the Governing Body being the Cornish Pilot Gig Association (CPGA), our dream was to provide a fitness suite to promote the health and well being of the community, a meeting area to improve the social cohesion , refurbish an important community asset and revive and promote our heritage.
The Club undertook a massive fundraising initiative locally, with individuals, the Parish Council, the local Lions Club all coming together to support the project. We received major funding grants from British Rowing, National Lottery, SITA, Viridor Credits, Cornwall Council and Local Action for Rural
